Materials

As a means of providing solutions for a wide variety of products and applications we utilize many different grades and co-polymers of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS). Each co-polymer has a production specification that encompasses specific product characteristics to provide the best packaging solution.

These Materials Include:

  • EPS – Expanded Polystyrene is available in both regular and modified grades. This is the workhorse of the packaging industry and the most cost effective material versus performance available.
  • Arcel – A co-polymer of EPS and Polyethylene. Unparalleled chemical resistance and extreme durability make for a versatile and reusable product. Arcel is a great alternative to Expanded Polypropylene.
  • E-Por – A crack resistant elastic foam with excellent solvent resistance which can be processed and recycled like EPS.   E-Por is a great alternative to Expanded Polypropylene
  • MDF – Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) was produced from fibres treated with maleated polypropylene wax. The objectives of this study were to improve the dimensional stability of MDF panels by this treatment; to observe the maleated polypropylene wax distribution within the MDF panels using conventional fluorescence microscopy; and to determine the effects of the treatment on the mechanical properties and vertical density profile of the panels. It is used in several design and architectural works, you can even Ask the retailer if they supply boards cut to size before purchasing and give the project a good material to work with.
